"The Imaginarium"

2014 Series

This body of work is an elaborate underwater interpretation of “The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus”. A fantasytale of a travelling theatre company which transforms into an unreal world. There is both childlike whimsy and commanding depictions of the character, throughout this entire series. “Lady in Red”, is an entrancing scene which positions itself very differently in my mind than what was portrayed within the film. I made her Vesuvius (first image in the series), I feel her force, power, control and captivating stance. Vesuvius has won and been a finalist in various art prizes.

Since its release, this series has exhibited both nationally and internationally. All props were designed and photographed underwater with their subjects.
